These are the girls you see in the back pages of the Village Voice NYC. Every week they have different ones. To me they are the contemporary pinups. I started this project very recently (2005).
I paint them on a small surface canvas, usually 4x4 inches (10x10 cm). The canvas is previously spackled with a vinyl paste that is used in construction building. They are like a piece of wall you can appropriate. Intimate desires for public vertues.
