Inspired by the posters of the 50's in advertising and movies, Les Mignonnes are photo montages. Based on my photography and drawings, they reference the early collages by the surrealists. The technique is bold. 'Mignonne' is a term that designates somebody to which one would fall for. They were the favorites of kings. It is also a poem by french poet Ronsard, which was an ode to the ephemeral beauty of women compared as a rose.
